About This Blog

A friend of mine said recently that most of my posts are about the fights my girlfriend and I have. If my blog is turned into a movie, this friend said, all the scenes will be me and Tiffany fighting.

Tiffany and me
If my blog is turned into a movie, I guess I'd be okay if the whole world saw Tiffany and I fighting about which lane to use on the Golden Gate Bridge (here), how to cross the street while running (here) or what size desk we should have for our non-office office (here). In the meantime, I'm okay with all of you reading about it. Luckily, Tiffany is okay with this too. She says she knew what she was getting into when she fell in love with a writer, but this is generous of her. I knew when I fell in love with her that she was interested in nutrition and fitness, but, thankfully, she does not announce to the world my eating or exercising habits at any given time.

The truth is, this blog is really just about life. My life, in particular. I hope that my life is similar enough to yours to keep your attention or that it is different enough from yours to keep your attention. Keeping your attention is the penultimate goal (convincing people that I could one day write a book, of course, is the ultimate goal).

You can read about the specific origin of the blog and how I came up with the name here. The short of it is: I'm a writer. I love my girlfriend. Sometimes my girlfriend is busy studying. While she's studying, I should write.

Some people ask me what I'm going to call my blog when Tiffany stops studying chemistry (this is bound to happen someday, right?). Well, I think I'll keep the name. It has a certain rambling ring to it. Besides, what are relationships about if not chemistry? What you get out of the equation is directly related to what you put in. Sometimes you make a mess; sometimes you make magic.

Thanks for reading. Please feel free to comment prolifically on my posts.
